Marlana's non-physical senses

It is clear to us, (Marlana and myself, Forrist) that the senses and perceptions described below are able to be cultivated in many, if not all, human beings. Therefore we believe Marlana's ability to demonstrate some of these senses is only in part due to her level of spiritual growth She is on her unique journey to wholeness and unity with Creator as are we all. In this lifetime, Marlana's non-physical senses are similar, in concept, to a person who may have a gift of music, art, poetry, design, or dance.

As Marlana describes, she developed a number of non-physical senses as purely a survival defense in order to stay alive in situations of torture and other extreme physical trauma. Whether these senses were present prior to her childhood traum, or would have been developed anyway, we have no way of knowing. Her physical journey, in this lifetime, reflects the choices her soul made prior to incarnating this time. What is clear, is that without the years of therapy, with a masterful guide and therapist, she would not have healed her many psychic and emotional wounds. She has emerged from the process with healthy and balanced emotional, spiritual and psychological bodies with a deep desire to assist others on their path to wholeness.

Over the next decade, she applied her learning and skills within a standard therapeutic model, only rarely 'tuning into' the senses described here. These extra perceptions simply weren't allowed within the confines and definitions of her therapist's license. These "psychic" skills were considered to be in the realm of the unscientific or unproven techniques. Over time, Marlana became more and more dissatisfied with the constraints required by her licensing board under the guidelines of acceptable practice. Finally, her deep frustration grew to the point where she knew she had to choose to release her hard-earned licenses and credentials, and venture into a deeper understanding and integration of her non-physical senses.

Marlana now feels aligned with her path of destiny or her 'spiritual contract'. We have since learned that many disabled people have developed metanormal attributes. An excellent chapter titled "Extraordinary Capacities of Disabled People" is included in Michael Murphy's 785 page book, The Future of the Human Body. Mr. Murphy says, "In this chapter, I briefly describe some men and women who, by meeting severe afflictions with courage, have discovered extraordinary depths of human understanding, new subtleties in sensory experience, and a profound joy within ordinary pleasure and suffering."

Using Mr. Murphy's well-researched book as a guiding reference, Marlana & I have found many of the gifts she experiences described in somewhat scientific terms and backed up by examples and research. While we will not get into to much detail here, we will describe some of the metanormal senses that Marlana brings to her work with clients.

Clairvoyance or Remote Viewing

• The extrasensory perception of physical events - "There is evidence, for example, that shamans of stone-age cultures have used it for hunting and other purposes. It is deemed a yogic power in many Hindu and Buddhist contemplative schools. It has been attributed to Christian religious figures since antiquity... And it has been demonstrated with consistency by subjects in contemporary experiments." "...Testimony to clairvoyance in the religious traditions, and the dramatic results of modern experiments, have persuaded me that consciously accessible remote viewing is a latent human capacity." [pg 72. Michael Murphy]

  Marlana's clairvoyance remains primarily within the nonphysical dimensions. She can, for instance, connect with the energetic body and consciousness of another person and engage in a conversation. This conversation can result in 'ah-ha' or insight experiences, which then result in new attitudes or beliefs by this person. These new beliefs then show up in the physical as new ways of being or new decisions and choices. This attribute has been most easily observed when Marlana has been working with a parent to impact destructive or negative behaviors of a child. Whereas, the child may be too young consciously to engage with the necessary openness directly with Marlana. By dialoguing with the child's energetic body (and mind), insights into the child's thinking and reasoning can be discerned and then worked with in a fashion similar to working with a client directly. The effectiveness of this method is then confirmed by the parent in the behavioral shifts of long-standing negative behavior witnessed in the days and weeks following the sessions. At all times, the first step is for Marlana to seek permission to work with the person not present. This permission is not always granted or may be granted only after some discussion. The work never proceeds forward unless permission is granted.

Perceptions of Entities or Events Outside of the Normally Perceivable World

• Within this section [ pg 72-88 ], are numerous examples of metanormal analogues of ordinary seeing, hearing, touching, taste and smell as "...perceptions of extraordinary luminosities [auras], visions of disembodied entities, auditions for which no physical sources are apparent, and tactile sensations that seem to be caused by extrasomatic agencies". In Marlana's case, her metanormal senses are primarily sight and hearing also known as clairvoyance and clairaudience. While Marlana's information is received in both literal and symbolic forms, she typically does not see auras or halos around animals, plants or humans as a matter of course. Rather, Marlana tends to receive specific visual and auditory information related to the area of her question which may include seeing auras or energy fields when requested.

  The specific technique of Theta Healing, is intended for the practitioner to enter into direct communication with Creator / Source rather than a person's guides, angels or other Divine Beings. This communication might be termed "Conscious Channeling" somewhat similar to the work of Neale Donald Walsch, author of the "Conversations with God" series. This doesn't rule out communication with other non-physical beings, and indeed, these may occur during a session, as will be describe later. By establishing and maintaining direct communication with Creator, the information quality and effectiveness is improved significantly during healing sessions.

• The experience of nonphysical sight and sound, for Marlana, is much like tuning into a particular channel, and the tuning mechanism is her consciousness focused through Intention. By choosing to raise her consciousness out of her physical body and then calling upon Creator/Source, she then sees symbolic representations for Creator and hears a voice, unique to Creator, that responds to her questions. It is through issuing commands that she is then provided information regarding the issue at hand.

  As an example, after going through the series of questions with Creator regarding the clearing of a particular House of Cards, she may find that it is not clearing. She knows this by observing the energetic activity. This is similar to a manager telling workers to restock and organize the shelves and then observing them doing this. Then coming back when they are finished and inspecting the result. If everything has been reorganized as expected then the work is done. However, if the organization is not as expected then new instructions are issued to accomplish the desired result.

  In this case, Marlana is observing the energetics and can clearly tell if the work has been accomplished or not and to what degree. Sometimes, she finds that the normal procedures are not working. When this happens there are then a series of possible blocks to be checked. A few of these checks include more powerful beliefs that are holding this particular "belief cluster" in place, oaths, vows, karmic cords and sometimes entities.   Regardless, of the blocking or interference source, it is rare that the Creator/Marlana interaction is unable to find a way to achieve the desired clearing and replacement with a healthy belief cluster

Movement into Other Worlds

• Journeys into extraphysical worlds comprise yet another class of extraordinary potential latent in most individuals, but expressed by shamans, mystics and saints, as perhaps forerunners of human evolution. Like other metanormal abilities, such experience has been studied by modern psychical researchers. In addition, there is a huge body of modern literature about extraphysical worlds, which each of us can assess for ourselves. A few examples listed by Michael Murphy are as follows. "In the yoga tradition, for example, the manomaya and akashaloka siddhis provide access to other dimensions of the universe. Siberian shamans go down to the underworld, ascend the sky, and enter worlds of ancestral spirits. In Iranian mysticism, Hurqalya, the celestial earth, is accessible to spiritual travel." [pg 117]

  For Marlana, the other worlds are experienced as "other dimensions". They coexist with and within this realm. She is also, not particularly interested or fascinated with the strange or different aspects of these dimensions, except, to the degree, that understanding of one of these aspects will lead to greater access to healing for a client. She, therefore, doesn't spend much time outside of specific purpose healing sessions exploring these realms.

  One consistent and unusual area that has surfaced, within the context of healing sessions, has been her encounters with what she knows as extraterrestrial beings. It is clear to her that they have many of the conscious characteristics of highly advanced intelligent beings. The value systems seem to be fairly consistent within given "races" of these beings, and range from those that exhibit values totally disconnected from Love to those so aligned with Love as to be considered similar to the highest Divine Beings.   When these beings are encountered within her healing sessions, it tends to be those "without Love" and it is generally due to the negative or disruptive effect they are "inducing" within a person's emotional life. Nevertheless, the ultimate success in removing the "implants" and "drains" and shielding the client from further influences have been consistent. Normally, this success is achieved within a single session though, on some occasions, it has taken as many as 4 sessions to create and re-create the necessary shields that maintain their resistance to attempts by the influencing beings to penetrate them and replace the implants or drains that had been removed.

All in all, Marlana and I agree that her non-physical abilities are unique to her, and yet they are also skills that can be cultivated and honed in others. We want to encourage you to find your own intuition, find your own gifts, skills and abilities. Always trust your inner knowing above all else. Take the time to practice your own knowing and remember to celebrate your own Divinity. One more thing: Even though you are seeking support and guidance from others, such as Marlana, you already have all of your own answers within.
